Casio Exilim better than everJun 05, 2010

"read listen 'n learn"
This Casio Exilim Z550 14.1 MP digital camera, purchased from Amazon, replaces a Casio 6 MP camera that I used for years. This one also takes great pics; great color, great detail. Much improved. Downside: must remove battery for recharging; my old one had a much more convenient dock for recharging - liked that feature much better. Otherwise I'm happy with with my purchase.

Great camera when the lens opensNov 14, 2010
By Joyce Downs I used this camera for one day, while on vacation, was terrific. The second day the lens would not open. I exchanged it a few days later. I used the replacement for one day and it was great. The next time I used it, the lens opened only after the butterfly flew away. It currently will not open. Lens error try again. I love the zoom. But, with the unreliable lens I must find an alternate camera. Hopefully, I can return this one.

6 Picture quality = ***** 5
7 Ease of use = ***** 5
I take an estimated 230 pictures a day about 340 days a year. This camera was purchased as a back up to a backup camera. Due to the features, ease of use, picture quality, and Extra Eye-fi support built in, it is now my main field work camera. It does take 2 batteries to get through the full day. With so many pictures taken daily, I will not even consider a camera without a rechargeable Lithium battery. The camera exceeded my expectations. This is number 2 bought for me. 5 Star

Love It!Jun 29, 2011
By LooHoo99338 This camera is everything I could hope for in a camera. I have yet to take a fuzzy, out of focus, poorly lit photo. I took a video today which was also great quality. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a point and shoot.

A really good small cameraAug 03, 2011
By Jack I have owned several Casio cameras in the past. My previous Casio camera was a 7-megapixel unit that failed after several years of heavy use. This new camera is easy for me to use when making video clips. It also does a really good job for still pictures. Nothing negative to report.
