1Kodak EasyShare C142 broke right after the warranty periodSep 03, 2010
By Silver Iris
My 13-year-old daughter saved her money to buy this camera on her own. Within just a few weeks, it stopped working. When you push the power button, it displays a message then turns off immediately. The message is "Lens Obstructed. Remove Lens Cap." However, there is no removable lens cap - it is all automated. Because the warranty period is so limited, I am now in the position of having to figure out how to get it to the manufacturer for repair. Not good. And she didn't have use of her camera when we went on vacation. I am VERY dissatisfied.

3Get What You Pay For, Still Disappointed With KodakNov 10, 2010
By Karl Burrows
I previously reviewed another Kodak camera and was very disappointed with its performance. Having owned many Kodak digital cameras over the years (probably 6 or 7), the current point and shoot models just don't cut it. Why, then did I buy another Kodak? It was for my son's 6th birthday. His Grandmother bought him one of the kid digital cameras with something like .5MP and he showed a knack for using a camera (he would place his toys or stuffed animals on the floor and lay down on the floor to get a eye level shot). I only purchased this camera based primarily on price with the secondary reason being brand. For this price, there aren't many choices from brand names and the other brands were "off brands" or weren't much better than the kid camera we were replacing.

You get what you pay for. I don't expect much from a $70 camera, but my son has already figured out how to program it to use the scene mode and has used the video. He likes it and that'a all that matters. I wouldn't be satisfied with the quality and surely wouldn't use it for preserving familiy moments, but it will get put to good use and hopefully will get my son interested in photography.

5outstanding value and qualityJul 02, 2010
By Rockkeeper "Rockkeeper"
It is a great camera, at a great price....cool color, there was a clicking type sound at initial use but I have used for 3 weeks and it has gone away, uses 2 AA batteries.....still on my first set so it does not "eat" batteries. It is easy to remove pictures from camera to computer and pictures are of good quality. I am very happy. I have had other more expensive cameras but this is one is the best buy for me....and it is a KODAK.......

4Nice camera at a reasonable priceJun 12, 2010

I bought this camera even after reading the previous review. I am very please with the camera. The picture are extremely clear and the camera was easy to set up and use. I needed a camera for a graduation and I will not be disappointed. I am looking forward to creating lots of memories with the camera.

1Had to returnJun 07, 2010
By Robin
It is a cute little camera. But, when I tried to insert a memory card the camera wouldn't accept it. I took out the card from a camera that I was using and it couldn't read that card. So, I bought a Kodak memory card, thinking that the camera was just being picky. The camera still wouldn't read the card. I tried to format the card and the camera wouldn't accept the card.

I contacted Kodak customer service. Was told to take out batteries and memory card and then reinsert after 10 seconds. Didn't work. Told to take card out and reinsert. Didn't work. Was told to try a different card. I informed the CSR that I have already tried several different cards and the camera will not read them. Was told that I needed to send the camera in for repair. Forget that! I'm returning it.

I am disappointed. It does take nice pictures. And I thought having a green camera was cute. I was really looking forward to using it this summer.
