I switched from the kodak easyshare platform to this camera because of the MP, Opt Zoom and price. Mistake. It is extremely difficult to get this camera to take a clear photo of my kids running around (which is why I got it to begin with). I could be using it wrong, but have tried everything listed in the owners manual and even had friends and family give it a go. No luck and I regret the purchase. Feel free to correct my via reply comments- I would love (but highly doubt) if this was just user error.

The very day I ordered this camera, it was shipped. Four days later it arrived. And this was with the FREE shipping! Very pleased.
I already knew I was going to love the camera. A few months ago I bought one for my daughter from this same vendor, and saw how it worked for her on our vacation. She took tons of pictures, and they all looked great.
Cons:
- The audio recording shuts off temporarily while you are zooming in movie mode. I already knew about this issue from another review. It was not a show-stopper for me.
- It's not super small. My old camera fit in my pants pocket with barely a bulge. This one still fits, but it does make a very noticeable bulge.
Pluses:
- The 5X zoom
- The wide angle lens. Great for scenery and large group shots. Imagine a big family gathering. All your relatives are on or around your couch. But you just can't back up far enough to get everybody in the shot. With this wide angle lens, you can.
For the price, I don't see how you can beat this camera. I am very happy with it, and so is my daughter.

I got my cam just 5 days ago and I'm in love with it. It was nicely priced for such awesome features. I love the variety of modes that are available. Battery life is great! I've taken a few hundred pictures within the last few days and satisfied with each one. The video quality is superb! Very high definition and clarity. You can also pause and continue recording and capture images while you review the video! I also bought an 8GB SDHC memory card which holds close to 3000 photos nicely, each approximately 2.6MB at the 12.2 mega pix resolution. It's very light weight and compact and I'm overall very pleased.
